Feelin' the pressure.

Still feeling stressed. Trying to get everything done and be everything to everyone....man that gets tiring. Took a wee bit of me time today to make a few things.

I made a couple of fun rings from my new Ecclect-i-Ka Collection. I love these brads so much since they remind me of my jewelry making roots.

Scrap Book Lifestyles

I filmed this webisode a few weeks back for Scrapbook LifeStyle. It was pretty fun. Amazing how a couple hours of film can be cut down to 7 short minutes. Sad how unforgiving a camera can be to the aging process...good thing i feel young!

Making Stuff

Always makes me feel good....This has been a pretty stressful week. My best stress reliever is to create something with my hands that is not related to deadlines. I used the Bare Elements Adrian magnetic paper clips to create these cute little clips, all of the images are from vintage magazines and dictionaries. I hoard old books just for projects like this. I will be selling these along with tons of other goodies next weekend at Paris to the Moon in Costa Mesa. All through the week i will post more photos of items i am bringing to the Artist Market....I plan on doing some early Christmas shopping myself while i am there....Yes, i did say Christmas shopping, afterall it is only a few months away.

Contrary to popular belief, there is life beyond the scrapbook world. However my family would disagree since i have paper all over this house and projects for CHA, new product.....HOLY MOLY! This weekend I'm throwing my art director a baby shower...I think i have all the bases covered, however I would like to have some last minute appetizer favorites...what do your guest just love when you throw a party...what are you always asked to bring. I want to see if i am missing something good i didn't think of.

These Boots....

Okay, so i decided not all intentions for 2007 need to be serious. This one is just for fun and just for me....I intend to buy lots more Cowboy boots. I LOVEcowboy boots. I have always wanted a cool collection of boots to go along with my collection of vintage ranchwear....so this is me shouting out loud.....I WILL BUY MORE BOOTS! Here's my first new pair.

It's about time!

My second intention for 2007 is something I think most people try and work on as much as possible. I am not so good at managing my time. I get way too distracted too easy, which ends up stressing me out! Since i work at home, it is harder for my friends and family to understand that i actually *do* work ,even though it looks like i am playing. Because of my constant distractions i loose precious time, time that could be used being productive. So this year i intend to work on time management. Perhaps a schedule even....gasp! that would be a shocker. The past two days I have been very focused on making every minute count....you would not believe what i have accomplished in two days. I am curious who else has this goal in mind....and what are they doing to achieve better time management...I am up for suggestions!

Time to get some more coffee...and Time to get to work. Ha! See! I am better at this already!

Happy New Year!

I cannot believe that it is 2007 already. I have lots of thoughts and plans in my head about the coming year. So i decided i would take the plunge and put my 2007 intentions here. There is something to putting what you want out there for the world to see. I mean If i tell you all what i want, i guess i will have to get off my tush and make it happen, because without a doubt someone will ask me how my intentions are coming along.

I have 10 intentions for 2007-For the next 9 days i will share one more intention. After all of them are written. i will print them off and create an album that will travel with me. I did this in 2003 and every single intention evey single thing i intended to do,did.Living with intent opens doors, working towards goals opens doors. The challenge is to go through those doors with an open heart, an open mind and the willingness to work hard.

My first intention-involves my blog.

When I started blogging 9 months ago, i had no idea how much it would help my career goals, or how much is would help stimulate more creativity on my part. I had no idea how far blogging reached, how many people it touches...now i do. I noticed that things i thought would be silly to share are in fact inpsiring to some. I found that i can be here in sunny Southern California, and be connected to the rest of the world, i have made connections, met friends, and kept in touch with family, just by having a blog.

I found that people love projects, and how to's no matter how simple or complex they may be....so 2007 is the year of 300 days of blogging (hey i have to take some time off for travel and vacations) I promise to show as many projects as i can muster up, as many photos of my daily life as possible, as many sneak peeks as i am allowed, and as many tutorials. If you have questions, ideas, or requests, post a comment or send an email.

By the way on the subject of blogging, i really should thank every one for their enormous support of my blogging. The comments, the personal emails and the conversations during my travels really do inspire me to continue on every day, even if i am too overwhelmed or tired.

I am BaCk!

A short quick post....I have finally gotten all the bugs out of my email and am able to send email again in a normal fashion...ONE that DOESN'T show up as spam or junk in everyones in box. SO if you are waiting for me to email you back for one thing or another please, please, please email me again and i will respond asap! I will be back later this afternoon with a much more fun post.
